2011 TOC Poster Contest Grand Prize Winner

Randy Sizemore

Hailing from the mountains of Virginia, Randy Sizemore seemed destined to become an artist. Having a fine arts painter for a mother, an expert craftsman for a father, and a classically trained pianist older brother, Randy’s passion for art blossomed at an early age. By age 13 Randy had won numerous local and regional art awards in several mediums. He also worked in the family’s furniture restoration business and gained valuable hands-on experience and an understanding that good design must be functional.

After graduating high school in 1986, Randy attended The Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA.  Originally majoring in furniture design, Randy knew he had found his life’s work after just one elective in Graphic Design. In 1990, the work ethic his parents instilled in him paid dividends when he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Graphic Design. In addition, Randy won the Chairman’s Award, which recognized the most outstanding graphic design graduate and winner of the juried senior exhibition.

Since graduation, Randy has stayed on the leading edge of design and technology. His techniques on the computer have been showcased in textbooks and national magazines. Professionally, his work has continued to win accolades and recognition. In his current role as Creative Director for Artemis Creative in Atlanta, Randy is still passionate about creating beautiful visuals that communicate powerfully. Sizemore Design, Randy’s personal business allows for additional expressions of creativity and the ability to branch out in other mediums.
